The Designing pARticipAtory futurEs (DARE) lab is a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research lab directed by Dr. Foad Hamidi in the Information Systems Department at UMBC. Our research is focused on the participatory design and evaluation of emerging systems, including digital living media systems, DIY and maker tools and programs, and inclusive privacy.
